Newfolden is located at the halfway point between
Thief River Falls, to the south,
and
Karlstad, to the north. Newfolden has a population of
approximately 345 people, and has a number of businesses and
services which offer convenience to its residents and visitors.
One popular landmark in the area is
Old Mill State Park, located
approximately 11 miles to the west. At the heart of the community
is the Community Center which houses the City offices and is
attached to the fire hall of the volunteer fire department.
Several
churches, an elementary school, a
new high school and streets lined with homes complete Newfolden's
scenic picture. Newfolden calls itself the "Rolling Pin Capital of
Minnesota," and is home of the Lokstad rolling pin. |
