Viking, is a small rural community located midway between Thief River Falls and Warren just north of State Highway 1 on County road 11. Located in downtown Viking, is a grocery store-cafe and a post office. A grain elevator with access to the Northern Plains Railway is also nearby. The area is served by Viking Covenant and Zion Lutheran Church. Viking is also located around twenty minutes southeast of Old Mill State Park.


August 15 - "Viking Good Old Days" begin - outdoor movie with free smores & popcorn at dusk in Viking

August 16 - Breakfast at Diner, flea market, parade, threshing & events at Peters Museum, food vendors, music in the park along with games for kids & adults.

August 17 - Joint church services at Viking Park at 9:00 a.m. with coffee & rolls to follow
