Strathcona is located on State Highway 32 midway
between Greenbush, to the north,  Middle River to
the south and is approximately 30 miles north of
Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
 
Wildlife is an interest for many residents and visitors
of the Strathcona area as it is located near the
Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge and the
Elm Lake Wildlife Management area.

Stop at the Paradise Convenience Store, Restaurant,
and Gas station when in the area.

Gustav Adolph Lutheran Parish serves the area.
